When planning a new well, do not neglect P&A simply because it is on a future cost center. To meet customer needs, WellCem will provide the following solutions:

Lost Circulation
Perhaps the biggest problem in drilling. Even severe cases can be treated with ThermaSet®, no tripping needed.
Can be pumped through MWD and Bits. Specific Gravity to match down hole conditions.

Casing Cementing
Doing it right the first time, zonal isolation with ThermaSet® elevate your well integrity to a lasting solution.

Shut off Water / Gas
ThermaSet® will cure to form a permanent barrier, without size restrictions in the well path.

P & A and Balanced Plugs
Specific Gravity can easily be adjusted from SG 0.7 - 2.5. Viscosity 20cP – 600cP with Bingham effect. Huge advantages with ThermaSet®, and we also present an Alternative Plug & Abandonment. Permanent abandonment of wells usually require removal of existing tubing/casing.  These operations represent a high cost.

The alternative P & A operation allow for all the steel below the sea bed to be left in place. ThermaSet® is squeezed into the perforations in the reservoir, then followed by a ThermaSet® plug in the production tubing. Holes are punched in the production tubing and a new ThermaSet® plug placed in the annulus. Additional ThermaSet® plug(s) can then be placed higher up in the well, to finalize P & A, as required.

Micro Annulus / Well Leakage
ThermaSet® can be used to permanent seal off micro-channels in cement, or as a ThermaSet® plug in the annulus between the production tubing and casing. This is possible without pulling the tubing. Since the liquid itself is the bonding part of the product, particle free solutions are offered, or viscosity altered at will, to best adhere to down hole conditions.

Junction Isolation
ThermaSet® will stabilize unconsolidated sand in junctions of multi lateral wells.

Rock Stability
The formation can be reinforced when drilling through permeable and unstable formation. ThermaSet® can be pumped through the drill bit, instantly fully cure at a short designed setting time, after which drilling can commence without tripping.

Depleted zones
ThermaSet® can be used to pressurize isolated depleted zones, to prevent cross flow. Also pressure isolation behind sand screens is possible.

Plugging of control / transmittal lines
Over time, these lines may become redundant and have to be dealt with. For this purpose, WellCem will provide a low viscous ThermaSet® that can be pumped and cured into a strong and permanent seal, through the entire length of the line. Dimensions are typically 1/8" or 1/4", proving the impeccable properties of ThermaSet®, whilst saving the cost of an expensive re-completion of the well. (Ref. Case Studies). These redundant lines pose a barrier problem, and WellCem take pride in solving yet another incurable problem.
